Listed below are Minnesota Executive Orders signed by Governor Tim Walz affecting congregate or homeless settings.
- Executive Order 21-01, January 6, 2021
- Reopening of certain businesses, activities, and schools
- Allowance of specific social gatherings,
- Reinforcement of mask mandate and COVID-19 business/organization preparedness plans
- Executive Order 20-81 July 22, 2020
- Masks and face covering required at indoor businesses and in public settings.
- Executive Order 20-79 July 14, 2020
- Evictions
- Suspends evictions for:
- Nonpayment of rent (however does not remove obligation to pay rent),
- Tenants that remain in housing after termination or nonrenewal of lease,
- Materials violations of lease, and
- Termination of redemption period of a residential foreclosure.
- Individuals can still be evicted or haves leases terminated during the peacetime emergency in the following situations:
- Tenants that seriously endanger the safety of others, or
- Property owners may terminate leases if the owners or owner’s family members are moving into the residence.
- This order does not alter any of the protections in Minnesota Statute Section 518B.01, Domestic Violence Act or modify No Contact Orders.
- This order rescinded previous orders regarding evictions 20-14 and 20-73.

- Peacetime Emergency declared. Has been extended every 30 days since.
